Yolanda

Women of Wonder

Yolanda Stevenson, owner of Taxi Mom, LLC has been included as “One to Watch” in the Franchise Dictionary Magazine’s 50 Women of Wonder (WoW) 2021 Issue published October 1st, 2021.*

“With more and more women making an impact in the franchise industry, we’re in the midst of a Pink Tsunami!” says Alesia Visconti, Publisher & CEO, Franchise Dictionary Magazine. “Women are the great disruptors in the franchising space, implementing innovative ideas and systems for their franchisees’ success. Our ‘50 Women of Wonder’ (WOW) are amazingly talented, strong, and dynamic female franchisors in the franchise industry. We thank them and are thrilled to celebrate their contributions!”

Stevenson founded Taxi Mom, LLC in 2004 to provide safe, door-to-door transportation for children. She needed such a service herself, and she also saw the same need among other parents in the community. In the 2004-2005 school years, Taxi Mom serviced five schools. The company now serves 50+ schools in the Allen, Austin, Celina, Crandall, North Dallas, Forney, Frisco, Garland, Houston, McKinney, Plano, Prosper, Richardson, Rockwall-Heath, and Wylie communities.

In 2019, Stevenson launched the Taxi Mom Franchise. Her goal is to empower others by providing them with a roadmap to success for growing their own businesses with a proven model that includes training, support, technology, and mentoring. She says, “Now is the time for me to focus on coaching other entrepreneurs to build in a protected territory within their communities.  The name Taxi Mom reflects our mission and vision of providing safe, economical, and dependable service while getting kids home safely. I am honored and humbled to be included in the Franchise Dictionary Magazine’s 50 Women of Wonder (WoW) 2021 Issue.”
